Thunderbird & Indian Pow-Wow!

Cranksters’ Hot Summer Nights was a fab event, attracting more than double last year’s entries. Great music from Harry Deluxe and Marco & The Rhythm Kings had them jostling for dancefloor space – Paul plans to double it next year!

The weather was mild – perfect for a family outing & picnic.

Christmas came & went in a flash, but don’t worry – there are still some upcoming surprises for you Tbirders! Just after New Year (allowing for recovery time), Cranksters’ Hot Summer Nights Event will be held again at Herne Hill, on the verdant expanse of the Swan Athletics Club Oval.

Bring the family for a twilight Cruise-In Event, with food & drinks available, plus music & kids’ entertainment. Only $10 per car. Last year we had 4 Thunderbirds, see some pics here.

A great turn-out for this year’s Breakfast Meet – despite one or two sore heads from early Christmas celebrating. We upgraded to directional signage this year (thanks to Sign-On), and even allowed a Lincoln or two to join in.

Yessirree – it’s that time again!

The annual Tbird Christmas Breakfast is the must-do event for Perth T-birders: a friendly chit-chat and meet-up at Floreat Beach carpark, followed by breakfast at The Kiosk Floreat Beach.

The Kiosk guys make the best (yep, I mean it) pancakes, and fabulous breakfast food. Hey, they are licensed too, so if you’re feeling really celebratory you can indulge in a champagne. It’s been known to happen.

So do plan on getting the Bird running, we’d love to see you there, ya hear?

Earlier this week, rain was forecast for today, but Tracy insisted that All Ford Day is always, but always, hot & cloudless. And it was.

The UV rating was probably as high as the pulse level of revheads as Ford-lovers converged on Bassendean Oval.

There was a great turnout of Thunderbirds, especially from the Golden days of ’57 – ’66. Checkout the gallery, also featuring other notable Fords.
